This position requires an individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment—balancing multiple job streams, shifting priorities, and real-time problem solving while maintaining precision and composure.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of oilfield logistics, TDG requirements, and chemical handling protocols. As the key link between field crews, fleet, and clients, the Dispatcher ensures every job is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Nordic's operational standards.

- Multi-Unit Route Optimization: Strategically plan routes and fleet movements to maximize efficiency, reduce downtime, and anticipate logistical challenges.
- Shift & Coverage Management: Coordinate day-to-day driver coverage, adjusting quickly for sick calls, delays, unit swaps, or emergencies.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary contact for all scheduling inquiries, service updates, scope changes, and customer support.
- Driver Support: Provide clear, timely instructions to drivers and maintain constant communication to help troubleshoot issues in the field.
- Real-Time Problem Solving: Respond quickly to weather impacts, mechanical issues, road closures, and unforeseen operational challenges to keep jobs on track.
Compliance, Documentation & Safety Oversight
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all dispatched work complies with TDG, Hours of Service, client requirements, and Nordic's internal safety standards. Confirm operator certifications, permits, PPE, and job-specific instructions prior to departure.
- Incident & Breakdown Support: Coordinate the response for spills, incidents, or equipment failures in alignment with company procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Ticketing & Job Documentation: Review and process field tickets, ensuring volumes, times, billing codes, and job details are accurate.
- Daily Dispatch Log: Maintain up-to-date job status tracking, operator assignments, and any delays or issues encountered.
- Load Tracking: Monitor every dispatched load from pickup through delivery, ensuring timely job closure and documentation accuracy.
- Operational Feedback: Work closely with drivers and supervisors to gather feedback, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement.
- Resource & Fleet Planning: Collaborate with maintenance to ensure unit availability, schedule around service intervals, and anticipate equipment needs.
- Reporting: Provide routine updates to management regarding operational performance, efficiencies, and challenges.
