We're working with a fast-growing transportation and logistics company based in Kamloops
that's expanding into new service lines like flatdeck, tanker, and specialized freight. They're
building a strong foundation rooted in safety, reliability, and people-first leadership, and are
looking for an experienced operator to help take the business to the next level.
The Role
As Vice President of Operations, you'll join the executive team to lead, scale, and optimize
day-to-day operations across the company. You'll set the strategy, strengthen systems, and
empower a team that delivers results with precision and care.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute operational strategies that drive growth and efficiency
- Lead and mentor teams across dispatch, driver management, and logistics
- Implement scalable processes and systems to support expansion
- Partner with finance on budgets, KPIs, and cost control
- Oversee safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Support recruitment, retention, and training of staff and drivers
- Lead new business divisions such as flatdeck, tanker, and specialized freight
- Collaborate with ownership on long-term strategy and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- 10–15+ years
of experience in transportation or logistics operations - Proven success leading teams in an asset-based trucking environment
- Solid knowledge of Western Canadian transport regulations and markets
- Strong systems mindset — comfortable implementing processes at scale
- Financially savvy with experience managing KPIs and operational metrics
- Strategic leader who's hands-on, people-focused, and driven by excellence
