We currently have a full-time Front Office - Manager On Duty (M.O.D.) position available at Coast Capri Hotel.

The successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays however, . The M.O.D. is responsible for the overall operation of the Coast Capri Hotel; they will directly oversee and support the Front Office team in order to WOW our guests while working with the supervisory and leadership teams in the Food & Beverage operations (Outlets, Restaurant, Banquets, Pool Bar, etc), Maintenance teams and Housekeeping personnel to ensure a high standard of service is being delivered throughout. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive in their approach, friendly, detail oriented, a problem solver, an excellent communicator and adept at conflict resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations at the Front Desk to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards while supporting the team to exceed our guests' expectations
  • Improves service by assisting individuals to understand guest needs through a service-focused mindset, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed and communicating across departments to ensure guest issues are resolved prior to escalation.
  • Research, recommend and introduce Front Office procedures and programs to improve the overall operation of the Hotel.
  • Ensuring a proactive approach to guest comments and or issues, ensuring these are handled in a timely and professional manner meeting or exceeding guest expectations
  • Assume full responsibilities for the department in the absence of the Front Office Manager
  • Assist in training new staff members, coach and mentor them and monitor their performance
  • Understands Front Desk positions well enough to step in and support the team during surprise peak periods.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years hospitality management or front desk experience
  • Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset
  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication and reporting skills, customer service & people skills and flexible schedule availability

Pay: $47,000.00-$49,000.00 per year
