Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant, providing a friendly first impression.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about menu offerings and specials.
  • Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, demonstrating outstanding customer service skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area.
  • Utilize POS systems for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences when necessary.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest interaction.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles in the hospitality industry is highly valued.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and providing excellent guest services.
  • A passion for food service and hospitality that enhances the overall dining experience for guests.
