Signature Support Services is an organization that provides support to people with developmental disabilities in their home, work and leisure activities. We currently have a Support Worker position available in our Day Program.

As a Support Worker you are responsible for providing support, and training to adults with developmental disabilities in their Day Program and to help them work toward their goals and desired outcomes. This includes their leisure, volunteer, and paid employment in a variety of community settings. The successful candidate will also be required to assist with personal care, life skill training, as well as a variety of social activities.

Staff will make every effort to respect and promote individual rights and responsibilities while ensuring quality service delivery.

This position will be approximately 35 hours per week with varying hours between Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. The pay is $22.00 per hour.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Training will be provided
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Effective communication/interpersonal skills
  • Good team player
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Driver's license and own reliable vehicle - use of vehicle is required as well as ability to transfer clients along with their walkers and wheel chairs when necessary. (Kilometers are reimbursed)
  • Physically and mentally fit

This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
