Job Summary

In this role, you will work closely with partners and senior staff to prepare tax returns, compile financial statements, and maintain accurate client records. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns
  • Assist with year-end tax planning
  • Prepare compilation-level financial statements, including supporting schedules and working papers
  • Communicate with clients to gather documentation, clarify information, and ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Research basic tax issues and apply relevant regulations
  • Assist in maintaining organized and secure client files
  • Support partners and managers with ad hoc accounting and tax assignments

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting or tax experience (public accounting preferred, but strong candidates with relevant experience will be considered)
  • Experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online, Sage)
  • Strong Excel skills and general computer proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines—especially during tax season
  • Strong communication and client-service skills

Preferred:

  • Experience preparing tax returns in a small public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with compilation engagements and workpaper preparation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
