**Rate of Pay**: $74,300.00-$111,500.00 annually

The Ontario Federation Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) is currently seeking an **Accounting Manager**. This position will work directly with all OFAH staff, under the direction of the Director of Finance. This position will lead the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, monthly account reconciliation, audit preparation, and creating reports based on data analysis. This position manages the Accounting Services Representative and Accounting Clerk.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the accounting department through supervision, review, training, and delegation of tasks.
- Coach and lead the accounting department and complete annual performance reviews for direct reports (two staff).
- Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze general ledger for variances/discrepancies.
- Ensure financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws are considered in daily operations.
- Coordinate and manage the daily activities required for annual audits by supporting the information requests from auditors.
- Coordinate and lead collection and collation of required information for annual budget process.
- Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for full-time staff and complete ROEs as required.
- Review bi-weekly part time/contract payroll prior to submission.
- Ensure that all internal reporting is complete, accurate, and disseminated to staff in a timely manner, and work with staff to understand budgets, budget variances, and other budget enquiries.
- Assist with activities related to bank accounts, including authorizing fund transfers, government payments, and electronic funds transfers (EFT).
- Review Payables coding before system processing.
- Oversee reconciliation of monthly accounts and reconcile as required.
- Assist with monitoring accounting software to ensure proper functioning and investigate and implement enhancements to streamline/improve the integrity of all accounting systems.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in finance, business, commerce or accounting or equivalent work-related experience.
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Accounting designation (CA/CPA) an asset.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles for Charities andNonprofit Organization.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Advanced computer skills (MS Excel, MS Office, accounting software, AMS solutions).

**Other Requirements**:

- Applicants **must** have a valid OFAH Membership (required at time of hire). OFAH employees are required to complete a vulnerable sector check every three years.

The OFAH stays informed in regards to the current public and workplace health and safety measures surrounding infectious diseases from federal, provincial and municipal levels of government, and provides regular updates to our staff.
