Solution Sales Engineer – Canada & USA

Position Summary

The Solution Sales Engineer at will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex technology solutions and customer business needs across Canada and the USA. This technical, customer-facing position supports the sales cycle through product demonstrations, technical discovery, solution design, and consultative collaboration with Network Operators, system integrators, OEMs, and other technology partners in the telecommunications sector.​

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct impactful, live demonstrations and technical presentations of 's hardware and software offerings to prospective and existing clients as part of a consultative sales process.​
  • Drive discovery sessions to understand client requirements, business challenges, and technical objectives, aligning solutions to customer needs.​
  • Collaborate with the direct sales and channel teams to support all phases of the sales cycle, serving as the technical subject matter expert.​
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and proof of concepts tailored to specific partner and customer specifications.​
  • Act as the technical liaison between customers and engineering teams to ensure successful solution configuration, integration, and deployment.​
  • Provide ongoing technical support, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and address advanced product inquiries throughout the sales process.​
  • Stay informed of industry and technology trends in telecom, data center, IoT, and remote monitoring, sharing field intelligence with internal stakeholders.​
  • Represent at industry events, conferences, and partner workshops, with up to 20% North American travel expected.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or pre-sales technical consulting role, ideally supporting telecom and critical infrastructure solutions.​
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability delivering persuasive technical presentations to both technical and executive audiences.​
  • Experience with hardware and software sales, technical discovery, solution customization, demonstrations, and proposal development.​
  • Strong understanding of telecom networks, data center environments, IoT, and/or enterprise-grade remote monitoring systems is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering, and product development teams to shape solutions that meet customer needs.​
  • Self-driven, consultative, and skilled at building trust with partners and customers in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% throughout Canada and the USA.
  • Proficient in CRM and sales enablement tools for managing pipeline and technical documentation.
