Position Reports to: Director of Operations, Business Development Manager

Operational Target: Effective management of production teams, client communication, and operational efficiency. Maximize new business growth and effective client relationship management.

Financial Target: Achieve targeted productivity, budget adherence, and profitability. Achieve aggressive new business and revenue growth objectives.

Main Goals and Objectives:

  • Efficiently oversee production activities and resource allocation.
  • Adhere to job budgets and ensure cost-effective resource management.
  • Aggressively develop and secure new business opportunities.
  • Significantly expand the client portfolio across targeted markets and verticals.
  • Provide exceptional client relationship management for ongoing retention and service satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professional communication with clients.
  • Actively represent and promote the company at industry events and via networking activities.
  • Strategically collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities - Winter Season:

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Coordinate production scheduling with Operations Manager.
  • Manage material procurement, deliveries, and inventory per company guidelines.
  • Accurately complete production tickets and review job costing reports.
  • Production Management:
  • Dispatch and supervise field crews to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, production quality, and budget constraints.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, uniforms, grooming standards, and job-site cleanliness.
  • Complete necessary operational documentation and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Account Management:
  • Act as the primary or secondary liaison for client communication.
  • Promptly address and respond to client inquiries, maintaining CRM accuracy.
  • Engage clients through meetings and professional interactions.

Sales & Support:

  • Conduct quality audits and proactively identify new project opportunities.
  • Assist leadership with preparation and presentation of estimates and proposals.
  • Recruiting, Training & Development:
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and train field staff as directed.
  • Conduct field training sessions emphasizing safety, technical skills, and soft skills.
  • Support career growth and administer appropriate disciplinary measures.

Roles and Responsibilities - Summer Season:

Commercial Division:

Business Development:

  • Execute active marketing, cold calling, networking, and referral follow-up to generate leads.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans targeting new business and key growth verticals.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate and close profitable agreements, clearly communicating company value propositions.

Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Maintain active communication between clients, operations, accounting, and senior management teams.
  • Ensure timely and professional follow-ups on all client requests and inquiries.
  • Record and monitor client interactions meticulously using CRM software.

Estimating & Proposals:

  • Collaborate closely with Operations to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Create proposals aligned with company standards and client expectations.
  • Marketing and Representation:
  • Actively promote company brand and messaging across relevant social media platforms.
  • Represent the company at local trade shows, trade associations, and professional events.

Financial and Administrative:

  • Collaborate on sales forecasting and budget management, tracking actual performance against targets.
  • Actively manage collections and receivables as required for assigned accounts.

Residential Division:

Lead Generation:

● Prospect potential clients via calls, emails, and networking.

● Follow up on leads provided by door-to-door reps and the CRM system.

● Utilize community hubs and local events for business opportunities.

● Engage with contractors through the Contractor Program for referrals.

Appointment Setting:

● Make calls and send follow-up emails to schedule estimates.

● Track all appointments in the CRM system.

● Ensure accuracy when booking client meetings and updates.

Estimating:

● Conduct on-site visits and evaluations.

● Present Good, Better, Best pricing based on the surface condition (Dirty, Clean, New).

● Recommend appropriate service levels based on client needs (Good, Better, Best).

Sales Closing:

● Use structured closing techniques to secure contracts.

● Clearly communicate the value of premium services when applicable.

Client Relationship Management:

● Maintain consistent follow-ups with past clients for upselling and referrals.

● Build long-term client relationships through outstanding service.

Pay Structure / Compensation Details:

Direct Compensation:

● Annual Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Annual Performance Bonus:

● Seasonal performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary.

● Bonus payout is contingent upon achieving or surpassing the outlined KPIs.

● Evaluation and bonus payout occur annually, distributed by June 15th following the contract year.
