Fall Protection Specialist

With a wide variety of people, global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers. 3M is seeking a Fall Protection Specialist for its Safety and Industrial Business Group Sales team located in Western Canada.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Fall Protection Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Grow sales of 3M Fall Protection products within the defined areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan and North West Territories
  • Contribute to the achievement of national sales targets for Personal Safety Division (PSD)
  • Identify and close new business opportunities and increase 3M share of wallet with end user customers in sales territory with a focus on identified market segments
  • Establishes and enhances business relationships with major distributors in territory including conducting product training and education on 3M value proposition
  • Management of CRM system, Salesforce

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of Professional Selling in the industrial and/or construction space in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of solution safety selling in fall protection/personal protective equipment 
  • Skills include collaboration and teamwork, influencing others, focus and resilience, and adapting to change

Work location:  

  • Field Sales- Alberta regularly, Saskatchewan bi-monthly and the North West Territories when needed

Travel: May include up to 70% in field focus

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized 

The expected compensation range for this position is $108,639 - $132,781, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
