Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming experiences for both pets and their owners. Your role will involve handling various breeds and temperaments, so excellent customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations.
  • Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
  • Lift and carry pets as needed, which may involve heavy lifting depending on the size of the animal.
  • Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pet Groomer or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
  • Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.50-$40.00 per hour
