Are you a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with a passion for ensuring seamless payroll operations? If you have expertise in Canadian payroll (Ontario), a strong grasp of union and non-union payroll processes, and an ability to handle U.S. payroll—this role is for you
Key Responsibilities:
- Canadian Payroll Administration: Manage and process end-to-end Canadian payroll, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations (Ontario).
- Union and Non-Union Payroll: Administer weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for unionized and non-unionized employees.
- U.S. Payroll Experience: Handle payroll operations for U.S.-based employees, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state regulations.
- Technology and Tools: Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process and maintain payroll records with utmost accuracy.
- Reporting & Analysis: Leverage your expertise in Microsoft Excel to conduct reporting, audits, reconciliations, and data analysis to support payroll and HR functions.
- Compliance & Records: Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and collective bargaining agreements while maintaining accurate employee payroll records.
Qualifications:
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or similar designation is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience in a Canadian business, particularly within Ontario.
- Knowledge and experience processing payroll for both union and non-union environments.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
- Proven experience with both weekly and bi-weekly pay cycles.
- U.S. payroll experience is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
