Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced
Cards Mainframe Developer
with
6–8 years of hands-on experience
in mainframe application development and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in
JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2
, and
Unix scripting
, along with a solid understanding of the
Cards domain (Issuing end)
and the
end-to-end card lifecycle
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications to meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical solutions, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and other technical teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in mainframe applications.
  • Support defect resolution during various testing phases.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Work in an Agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design and functional specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Optimize mainframe systems for better performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in release management and provide post-deployment support.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6–8 years of experience in Mainframe development.
  • Proficiency in
    JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2
    , and
    Unix scripting
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    Cards domain (Issuing end)
    and
    end-to-end card lifecycle
    .
  • Experience working in
    Agile
    environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
