Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their developmental growth through engaging activities and personalized care. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a strong commitment to early childhood education principles. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in English and French, with experience working with children with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and maintain a cohesive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, programming and other relevant documentation
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times within the classroom setting

Skills

  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience in childcare, teaching, or early childhood education
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Leadership qualities to guide and motivate young learners while maintaining classroom discipline
  • Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to create engaging learning environments
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability

Please note that:

  1. Full time shift is a split shift of 6:45am to 11:30am and then 2:30pm to 6:00pm.

  2. Part time shift is 2:30pm to 6:00pm and 9:00pm to 6:00pm on non school days.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 2 or 3 is an asset).
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (or willing to obtain).
  • Current First Aid/CPR Level C (or willing to obtain).
  • Experience working with children ages 5–12 is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
