Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and energetic on call Early Childhood Educators to inspire and nurture young learners during their formative years. Responsibilities

  • Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, play-based learning, and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Support children's social-emotional growth through active listening, conflict resolution, and fostering inclusive classroom interactions.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on early childhood education best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and child welfare documentation in compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management techniques, childcare practices, and curriculum updates.
  • Facilitate activities that promote physical activity, literacy skills, numeracy understanding, and overall child welfare within the classroom setting.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment conducive to growth and exploration.
  • Ability to design engaging lessons that cater to toddlers' care needs as well as preschoolers' academic development.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support social-emotional learning.

Must be able to speak, write, comprehend, read and communicate in English at an intermediate level.

Must have a recent Police Check (within 6 months)

Job Types: Permanent, Casual

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
