Early Childhood Educator

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and maintain a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, programming and other relevant documentation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times within the classroom setting
**Skills**
- Proficiency in English
- Experience in childcare, teaching, or early childhood education
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Leadership qualities to guide and motivate young learners while maintaining classroom discipline
- Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to create engaging learning environments
- Ability to work well with diverse populations, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability
Please note that:
1. Full time shift is a split shift of 6:45am to 11:30am and then 2:30pm to 6:00pm.
2. Part time shift is 2:30pm to 6:00pm and 9:00pm to 6:00pm on non school days.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum **Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certification** (Level 2 or 3 is an asset).
- Current **Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search** (or willing to obtain).
- Current **First Aid/CPR Level C** (or willing to obtain).
- Experience working with children ages 5-12 is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
