About the role

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the General Labourer is responsible for assisting in a variety of construction site tasks including cleaning, material handling, and assisting various trades. This role is crucial for ensuring timelines and work is completed efficiently.

This is a 6-month temporary role with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

Hourly Wage Range - $ $25.00 /hr (based on experience)

What you'll be doing

  • Cleaning and preparing finished homes and buildings under construction.
  • Clearing worksites of debris and hazardous materials.
  • Loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assisting skilled trades as needed.
  • Performing basic construction tasks, including using hand and power tools.
  • Ensuring tools/equipment are kept in good working order.
  • Following all safety standards and site procedures.

What we're looking for

  • 1 year of experience in construction or general labour preferred.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Must have proper PPE (steel-toe boots, vest, hard hat).
  • Respectful, punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
  • Forklift certification is an asset, but we're happy to provide in-house training for the right individual.
