**About the role**

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the General Labourer is responsible for assisting in a variety of construction site tasks including cleaning, material handling, and assisting various trades. This role is crucial for ensuring timelines and work is completed efficiently.

This is a 6-month temporary role with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

**Hourly Wage Range** - $20.00 - $25.00 /hr (based on experience)

**What you’ll be doing**

- Cleaning and preparing finished homes and buildings under construction.
- Clearing worksites of debris and hazardous materials.
- Loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assisting skilled trades as needed.
- Performing basic construction tasks, including using hand and power tools.
- Ensuring tools/equipment are kept in good working order.
- Following all safety standards and site procedures.

**What we’re looking for**

- 1 year of experience in construction or general labour preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Must have proper PPE (steel-toe boots, vest, hard hat).
- Respectful, punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Forklift certification is an asset, but we’re happy to provide in-house training for the right individual.
