Construction Yard Support Driver

Alberco Construction, leaders in Bridge and infrastructure construction is looking for a delivery driver and general equipment operator to work from our ProNorth Industrial park yard and shop, 10 minutes north of St. Albert.

Must have experience driving a pick up with a gooseneck trailer, as well as experience operating skid steer, forklift, and telehandler.

Must have some construction experience so we know you understand construction equipment.

Candidates must be:

  • Energetic, self-driven
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Construction equipment and tool knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to operate different types of construction equipment is required.

General Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Load/unload construction materials.

  • Work year round in an outside environment.

  • Pickups and deliveries of tools, equipment and materials from various vendors and take to site,

  • loading and unloading of compact construction equipment (skid steers, small excavators)

  • Operating light & medium duty trucks up to 5500 series

  • Identify hazards on site and contribute to a safe work environment.

  • Pre-use inspections

General Requirements:

  • Valid class 5 license & clean driving record. Note: we are not looking for Class 1 or 3 drivers

  • Previously experience operating compact construction equipment and a verifiable history of operating light duty trucks and trailers, including goosenecks.

  • Reliable vehicle to go to and from work.

  • Physically apt to perform job duties.

  • Ability to work as a team and communicate with coworkers.

  • Periodic overtime.

Wages depending on experience. $23.00 -$33.00 per hour

This is a year round, full-time position with benefits and a professional atmosphere.
