HML Contracting is looking for a Yard/Shop Maintenance Coordinator to join our team located in St Albert, AB.

As our Yard/Shop Maintenance Coordinator you will be an essential part of our team by supporting the successful delivery of our projects by organizing yard and tools while ensuring our team is provided with the materials and equipment they need. As our Yard/Shop Maintenance Coordinator you will have the opportunity to carry out a wide range of tasks both as part of a team and independently. This role will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance as directed. The Yard/Shop Maintenance Coordinator shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately, and responsibilities will vary day to day, encompassing everything from pre-loading trucks to picking up parts as needed to maintaining yard.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible and accountable for performing general maintenance and repairs, cleanup duties, and safety checks associated with various pieces of equipment and tools.
- Deliver and pick up equipment; load and unload equipment.
- Keep yard and shop organized and in clean condition.
- Must be willing to perform a variety of duties outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Produce and maintains, in electronic format, all maintenance records
- Stock adequate maintenance materials and equipment to avoid shortages and excesses.
- Provide assistance to co-workers when needed.
- Adhere to company policies & safety regulations.
- Manage the yard; parking, floating the yard, and general grounds keeping.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and assist with diagnosing issues in the field.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience operating a skid steer & Loader, while operating heavy equipment in a careful and efficient manner.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers.
- Ability to prioritize scheduled tasks and activities.

General mechanical and welding knowledge is preferred.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor environment.
- Expected to use initiative and good judgement and to work with limited supervision once tasks have been defined
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with driver’s abstract in good standing (Class 3 preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair a variety of equipment in the shop or field (preferred)

Conditions of Employment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned (which may include lifting up to 50 lbs).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
