Toronto, Ontario, Canada Boreal Education Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Let's reimagine access to Canadian education, together.

Boreal Education is an EdTech company that empowers Canadian post-secondary institutions to grow and develop distance, hybrid and online education programs. Lifelong learning is becoming increasingly necessary for professionals to match the pace of automation and digitization in the workplace. Universities and Colleges must adapt to this changing profile of learners by focusing on flexible, employer-driven and digital-first programming.

To achieve this mission, we're looking for Student Enrolment Advisors to join the Boreal team. This person will play a key role in identifying the right-fit students for our University programs, laying our foundation for our growth in 2026 and beyond.

We're leading the Canadian post-secondary sector to create and market online programs that put the learner at the centre and transform communities along the way. This role helps us accomplish that collective mission.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about helping others achieve their educational goals? Do you have exceptional communication skills and enjoy building relationships with students? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as a Student Enrolment Advisor with one of our University Partners.

As a Student Enrolment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the enrolment process. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a point of contact for students, providing them with information about our university's programs and assisting them with their applications. Your goal will be to connect with students and help them make informed decisions about their educational future.

Within a year, you will have created an effective pipeline of students for your program. You will have deep knowledge of your assigned University partner and program that you share with others on your team. You will have developed the consultative sales skills needed to support your students and accomplish your goals.

You will make an impact by:

  • Connecting with and responding to potential students as their primary point of contact. All communications with students are over phone, video call, e-mail and live chat and all inquiries are inbound leads – our EAs never cold call.
  • Interviewing and advising prospective students using a consultative approach, excellent sales and customer service skills to guide them through the admissions and registration process.
  • Managing your pipeline of interested students and leveraging your program knowledge to ensure students have all the information they need to complete their applications to the program.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student interactions and progress in our CRM system.
  • Participating in industry events and representing the University in a professional and positive manner.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills. You know how to affect outcomes and achieve goals through trust building/relationship development, needs analysis and problem solving. Formal sales training is not required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with ambiguity to effectively monitor and coordinate a workload while contributing to a team.
  • Previous experience in student advising or admissions is helpful but not required.
  • A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
