Counter Sales Supervisor

Kerr Controls Ltd. (Kerr) is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, and Supplies. We have an opening for an experienced and highly motivated Counter Sales Supervisor to join our Moncton, NB branch.
As a key member of our leadership team, the Counter Sales Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the order counter and inside sales team. This role combines strong technical HVAC/R knowledge with proven people leadership to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and consistent adherence to Kerr's policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Manager to manage employees, drive sales performance, and foster a positive, high-performing team environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily counter operations to ensure all customer transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Manage and support a team of counter and inside sales staff, providing leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching.
Provide daily guidance to ensure team members are knowledgeable about company policies, procedures, and HVAC/R product offerings.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to support employee growth and development.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and communicate with suppliers as needed.
Ensure all end-of-day balancing and related documentation are prepared accurately, with any exceptions reported promptly.
Identify gaps in technical or product knowledge and coordinate training with head office or external partners as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused counter environment.
Monitor staff attendance and performance, providing corrective feedback as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Branch Manager to align operational goals, manage staffing, and achieve sales targets.
What you bring to the team:
Proven wholesale inside or counter sales experience within the HVAC/R industry.
Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a sales or customer service environment.
Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills with a focus on results and relationship-building.
Expert knowledge of HVAC/R products, systems, and applications.
Advanced computer proficiency with experience using sales, inventory, and customer management software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
A proactive and positive leadership style with a commitment to mentoring and developing others.
Ability to handle complex customer needs and drive sales growth through effective team leadership.
