Status: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: Mondays to Fridays - 8am to 4pm

Location: Head Office, Vancouver, BC

Hourly Wage: $25.68-$27.31

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Accounting and Personnel, this position is responsible for performing complex duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billings such as posting to general ledger and reconciliations.

Typical Duties:
- responsible for processing, paying, and reconciling authorized day to day accounts payable and receivable including imprest accounts both manually and on computer
- maintains files pertaining to above in accordance with established procedures.
- oversees and codes all grant income reconciling when necessary.
- posts and balances subsidiary ledger(s).
- examines coding of vouchers and brings inconsistency to attention of appropriate supervisor.
- prepares weekly cash flow reports.
- responsible for opening/closing/and maintaining backup for petty cash.
- reviews and writes procedures and forms where necessary.
- assists in payroll related functions, including preparation and reconciliation of T4's and T4A's
- assists in accounting opening and closing trust accounts, and processing trust cheques /EFT
- assists Coast Foundation Society auditor in annual audit.
- reconciles all bank accounts.
- responsible for depositing income.
- responsible for reconciling all GL accounts relating to payroll, A/P. and A/R.
- assists in opening, closing, and maintaining signing officers for all Coast Foundation Society bank accounts.
- responsible for ordering cheques when necessary.
- reviews and writes forms and procedures where necessary.
- assists in the preparation of forms and procedures.

Job Qualifications *

Qualifications:
- Certificate in accounting

- One-year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- WHMIS certification

-Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check will be required.
