We are seeking an Audit & Assurance Manager to join our team and provide exceptional service to our clients. Like us, you appreciate the big picture while also understanding the importance of the details.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain client relationships to deliver outstanding service, gather information, resolve issues, and recommend business and process improvements.
  • Understand clients' industries to identify key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical developments.
  • Lead client-facing teams in planning, scoping, and completing assurance (audit and review) engagements.
  • Oversee and review fieldwork on assurance engagements, ensuring progress aligns with budgets and deadlines.
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling, as well as project financials (including budgets, WIP, billing, etc.).
  • Train and mentor staff to enhance their technical and professional skills, providing performance feedback along the way.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and/or Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO).
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles and standards.
  • Collaborative and effective communicator who meets the needs of clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare and TaxPrep.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
