Position Summary

Fathom Film Group is seeking an experienced YouTube Producer to lead the growth and development of a new channel focused on true crime and paranormal mystery content. This senior-level role will oversee channel strategy, production, and audience engagement, working closely with our creative team. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on producer with a deep understanding of YouTube's ecosystem and a passion for captivating, genre-driven storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive YouTube growth strategy to build audience, subscribers, and watch time.
  • Oversee the production pipeline, from concept development to publishing, ensuring all content aligns with channel goals and brand voice.
  • Lead a small team to create, optimize, and repurpose existing content for maximum reach.
  • Monitor analytics to identify trends, adjust strategy, and drive continual performance improvements.
  • Research and pitch new content ideas in the true crime and paranormal mystery verticals, staying on top of emerging trends and audience interests.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and other creatives to deliver high-quality, engaging videos and thumbnails.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing and growing a YouTube channel (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of YouTube strategy, including SEO, algorithm trends, metadata, and monetization.
  • Hands-on production experience (video editing, content packaging, or overseeing post-production).
  • Expertise or strong interest in true crime, survival, or adjacent storytelling genres
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones.
