The
Quality Assurance Technician
will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This position requires strong knowledge of GD&T principles and the ability to effectively use various quality tools and methodologies to support our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize GD&T principles to assess and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform dimensional measurements using various tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
  • Identify and document non-conformities, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, and work instructions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and follow quality control procedures while maintaining accurate records of inspections and testing results.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality concerns effectively.
  • Provide support in the implementation of quality improvement projects, utilizing tools like Six Sigma, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Assist in training team members on quality standards and practices to ensure a consistent approach to quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Technician in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using quality measurement tools and techniques.
  • Experience with quality management systems and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with CMM operations and programming is a plus.
