Apex Systems is a global IT services & consulting provider that has an opening for Senior SAP ABAP Developer. Seeking a skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming language an SDI.

possibility of extension - Conversion is based on performance but not looking to convert at this time

Remote/Hybrid:
Hybrid - Thursdays+ 4th Friday of every month in office (could increase to 2 days per week in office)

OT:
On call support required - will be on a rotation schedule - 1 week every 6 weeks

Seeking a skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming language an SDI.

Team details:
10 team members - Mix of FTE/Contractors -all developers

Who will the candidate be working with on a Daily basis:
You will work closely with functional teams, QA teams, BSA's and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions that align with business objectives.

Job Description:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP (Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Forms, etc.).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with SAP best practices and CIBC standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP custom developments and integrations.
• Optimize and enhance existing SAP programs for performance improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation for developed solutions and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Adhere to SAP best practices and coding standards while developing custom solutions
• Participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects as required.
• Support integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.

Must haves:
1
. 7+ yrs Strong knowledge of ABAP programming (Reports, Dialog Programming, Enhancements, Forms: SmartForms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms).

• 5+ Experience in Object-Oriented ABAP, Enhancement Framework, BADI/User Exits and modular programming.
• Proficiency in building and consuming OData services, integrating with SAP Fiori/UI5 apps.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Knowledge of SAP SDI components and their roles in data integration.
• Familiarity with SAP module: FI/CO.

Nice to have:

• ABAP on HANA
• Proven experience in S4/HANA environment, with knowledge of HANA-specific optimizations (eg,. CDS Views, AMDP etc )

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
