Job Description

Location – Toronto (Hybrid), requires travel to Distribution Centres within GTA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP development, coupled with extensive knowledge of SAP MM, SD and EWM modules and their integration with other functional areas. Exposure to the retail industry is highly desirable.

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for implementing changes and fixes required for production support, enhancements, and planned projects related to supply chain management and Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM) initiatives for our enterprise clients.

The candidate will closely work with technical leads, architects, software engineers, business analysts, and quality engineers amongst others in a highly collaborative environment. In this role, candidate is expected to work on requirements gathered from business, design, develop, testing, deployment and user support for SAP application software. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in an environment where change is constant.

Requirements:-

1. Design, develop, debug, implement, and test large scale projects and enhancements in EWM supply chain processes, adhering to ABAP object-oriented design principles.
2. Develop, configure, and deploy custom high-quality, scalable, high-performance applications from the ground up using ABAP on time and within allocated budget.
3. Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including iterative development, estimations and design sessions.
4. Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions.
5. Create, configure, develop, deploy, debug, and extend Fiori apps, both on the UI and backend layer.
6. Develop accessible applications ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
7. Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for SAP EWM-related issues.
8. Work with distributed teams across various time zones.
9. Closely work with business stakeholders, operations teams and development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly developed and implemented with SAP S4 and SAP EWM.
10. Provide expert technical direction to developers on developing forms and reports.
11. Provide support for testing and post go-live support on project initiatives.
12. Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP EWM developments and industry trends to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
2. 7+ years total experience as SAP ABAP developer
3. 4+ years of functional experience in supply chain and SAP EWM
4. 4+ years of experience in SAP MM / SD Modules
5. Proven experience in development and debugging of ABAP programs, S4 Hana, technical objects including custom development using BADIs and user exits.
6. Strong understanding of integration points between SAP SD, MM, EWM and other SAP modules.
7. Proven experience in developing and implementing highly scalable, high performance and stable SAP applications.
8. Expert in SAP ABAP programming, including reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces.
9. Knowledge of Agile system development methodology and prior experience working in Agile environment.
10. Strong in estimating and planning skills and the ability to clearly write technical specifications.
11. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good to Have:

1. Certification in SAP ABAP is a plus.
2. Prior exposure to the retail industry is highly desirable.
