Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and processing financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple accounting software platforms and possess strong math and analytical skills to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting. Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Manage data entry tasks related to financial transactions using accounting software Cosmolex.
  • Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial records
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist with budgeting activities and financial reporting as needed
  • Collaborate with team members on bookkeeping tasks and general ledger maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with accounting softwares
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
  • Proficiency in data entry and account reconciliation processes
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform account analysis accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping or financial services is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post-secondary education or certifications in accounting are advantageous
  • Cosmolex experience is a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
