Seeking a
detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist
to be trained to lead AR. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, professionalism, and strong customer service/phone etiquette.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter G/L postings to reconcile credit cards and cash
  • Apply payments from EFT, online payments, cash, e-transfer, cheque, and credit cards
  • Review orders for accuracy, invoice, and send to clients
  • Identify overdue accounts and billing issues
  • Create and maintain Excel lists of outstanding sales and overdue accounts
  • Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances (phone & email)
  • Enforce customer policies politely but firmly
  • Review applications and compile inquiry details to support decisions
  • File invoices accurately and maintain customer records
  • Answer phones as needed

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of broad accounting experience
  • Bookkeeping experience required
  • Collections experience required
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong accountability and ability to correct errors
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
