Duties

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare orders for shipping by picking, packing, and verifying items
  • Conduct stock stocking activities and maintain organized storage areas to optimize space utilization.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including documentation, labeling, and inventory updates.
  • Support warehouse supervision by adhering to OHSA standards and mechanical safety guidelines during all operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques including inventory control and stock rotation practices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with mechanical knowledge of packaging and materials handling equipment.
  • Experience with order picking & packing processes, shipping & receiving procedures,
  • Knowledge of OHSA safety standards related to warehouse environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely; previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment tasks.
  • Physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, lifting heavy items, and performing manual labor as needed.
