Pino's Get Fresh is seeking an experienced Meat Department Manager for a high volume grocery store, with an emphasis on the fresh meat business. Previous Meat Dept. and Management experience is required. Salaried position - amount to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading a staff of 12 or more, including meat cutters, wrappers, clerks
  • Deliver and maintain optimal department conditions at all times
  • Communicate and delegate tasks to staff members
  • Providing exceptional Customer Service
  • Product Ordering and Inventory control
  • Ensure fresh meat counter is set up and ready for business at the appropriate times each day
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility that meets Pino's Get Fresh and Canadian Public Health standards
  • Daily preparation and planning for the next days business
  • Striving to achieve sales targets

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have meat department and/or retail management experience in a high volume grocery store
  • Strong knowledge of the meat department, including all cuts of beef, pork, chicken & specialty products
  • Strong communication, leadership and ability to delegate
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn (coachable)
  • Ability to prioritize and work in an organized fashion
  • Team Player
  • Merchandising skills and understanding of exceptional meat department conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
