Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service.
  • Participate in menu planning and development as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues in the kitchen.
