This role is ideal for a confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a high-accountability, performance-driven Employment Ontario environment and enjoys translating targets into effective day-to-day practice.
The core focus of this role is operational performance management. The Supervisor works closely with the Senior Program Coordinator, Program Manager and Quality Assurance Lead to monitor monthly and quarterly Employment Ontario KPIs, review actuals against targets, identify variances, and implement site-level corrective actions. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring staff are coached, supported, and aligned to deliver on agreed-upon performance plans.
This role operates within a supportive leadership structure, with regular collaboration, guidance, and shared problem-solving. Through strong on-site presence, coaching, and follow-through, the Supervisor plays a critical role in demonstrating continuous improvement and supporting the organization's success in SSM performance reviews.
These are your responsibilities:
People Leadership & Performance Management

· Lead regular performance discussions with staff to review individual and team KPIs, identify gaps, and implement action plans aligned with program performance goals.
· Facilitate team meetings to review performance data, track progress against targets, address risks, and realign priorities to support achievement of goals.
· Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture aligned with Centre for Skills' mission, vision, and values.
· Recruit, onboard, train, and support staff through structured onboarding, coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
· Oversee staff scheduling to ensure consistent coverage and service excellence.
· Conduct investigations related to customer service situations and address staff or client-related concerns in a timely, professional, and solution-focused manner.
· Act as the first point of escalation for client complaints, concerns, or service issues, applying sound judgment, trauma-informed practice, and de-escalation techniques to resolve matters promptly, support staff, and reduce risk while maintaining service quality and professionalism.
· Collaborate with the other Employment Services Supervisor to provide mutual backup coverage during periods of absence (e.g., vacation or illness), offering short-term leadership support to the other site teams, operational decision-making, and performance oversight to ensure service continuity and stability
Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
· Monitor program delivery and site-level performance data to support alignment with Employment Ontario guidelines, SSM requirements, contractual targets, and quality standards.
· Analyze monthly and quarterly KPI data, identify trends and variances, and collaborate with the Senior Program Coordinator and Program Manager to develop and implement strategies.
· Support preparation for, and participate as required in, SSM performance review meetings by contributing operational insights, performance analysis, and updates on improvement activities.
· Conduct regular file audits, observations, and coaching sessions to reinforce compliance, service consistency, and performance improvement.
· Track and report on the effectiveness of site-level improvement plans to support continuous improvement over time.
What you need to bring to this job:
Education:
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in Career Development, Business, Social Services, or a related field.
· Career Practitioner training or certification is considered an asset.
Experience:
· · Minimum 3–5 years of experience within the Employment Ontario system, delivering employment services in a performance-based, outcome-driven environment.
· Demonstrated people leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, or formally leading frontline staff within an Employment Ontario or comparable funded program. Note: Leadership experience may include formal supervisory roles or clearly defined team-lead responsibilities with accountability for staff performance.
· Proven experience actively managing Employment Ontario KPIs, including monthly and quarterly performance tracking, variance analysis, and implementation of site-level corrective action plans.
· Experience supporting staff to meet contractual targets, service quality standards, and compliance requirements.
· Experience working within a not-for-profit or community-based organization delivering government-funded services.
· Experience collaborating with internal teams and community partners to support integrated service delivery.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong people leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to set expectations, provide feedback, and address performance issues in a respectful and professional manner.
· Solid understanding of Employment Ontario guidelines, SSM requirements, service flows, documentation standards, and performance measurement.
· Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a results-driven EO environment, balancing client-centred service with performance expectations.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to oversee service delivery across multiple locations.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with staff, clients, funders, and community partners.
· Ability to interpret performance data, reports, and quality indicators to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
· Working knowledge of labour market trends, employer engagement strategies, and community resources relevant to EO clients.
· Proficiency with MS Office and virtual collaboration tools; experience using EO data systems (e.g., CaMS).
· Adaptable, collaborative, and resilient, with the ability to lead teams through performance pressure while maintaining a supportive and solutions-focused approach.
