Accounting Clerk

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for the input of financial and non-financial information into the IFS system, supporting and documenting month-end closing requirements, bank reconciliations and other accounting tasks in support of the accounting function.

As the successful candidate, you have a proven ability to ensure an outstanding quality of service experience for all accounting support functions. You are efficient, focused and detail oriented and have the ability to support the achievement of IFS's business objectives, with a strong aptitude for processing information and ensuring its accuracy.

Education / Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration with relevant experience in accounting, insurance or finance sector; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a bookkeeping/accounting function.
  • Proven typing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or new information.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Quickbooks is considered an asset.

This is a full-time, in-office position that works 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday in order to support customer service. IFS offers competitive benefits and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
