Flooring Canada Kelowna is looking for an experienced sales professional to join our Retail team.

About the Position

As a Retail Sales Professional, your main role would be creating new business by listening to understand the needs of each retail customer, asking questions, and conducting conversations that earn customer trust and confidence and lead to positive business results. You will also cultivate new leads through networking, new construction cold calls, and other innovative marketing campaigns and events. Beyond selling, you will inspect job sites, prepare precision estimates through measurements and project drawings and provide sales pipeline reports to Management. You will quickly decide if you bring value to a customer, gaining commitment in each step, until an agreement is reached. In other words, you are accountable for your customer's delight from the time you greet them in the showroom until their project is successfully completed.

What You Bring:

To succeed, you must have:

  • The ability to read and understand floor plans and blueprints, good math skills, and experience taking site measurements and doing site inspections.
  • 3 years of proven sales experience in Home Building Products, preferably as a Flooring Consultant or a Furniture or Décor Consultant.
  • Solid understanding of construction quoting methods, the difference between revenue/profit and markup/margin, and the self confidence to sell luxury products.
  • A flair for design, colour and home decorating is an asset.
