About The Job
This role reports directly to the Finance Manager, The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department and our organization's financial processes, ensure adherence with legal requirements, and make certain that our accounting operations align with the organization's mission and financial objectives. This role includes preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support the organization's financial health and strategic goals.

You are, also, Expertise in financial reporting and compliance, Proficient in accounting software (Yardi Voyager) and advanced Excel functions, Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving, Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences, Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring junior staff, Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting, Adaptable to changes in regulations and financial technologies, omitted to ethical practices and integrity in financial matters.

Additional Requisites/Assets

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Enrolment in a Professional certification such as CPA designation would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and stringent deadlines.

  • Covid-19 (Including Booster) and annual flu vaccinations are recommended
