Our client, an innovative, high-growth company in the technology and investment space, is seeking their first dedicated Senior Accountant. This role offers significant autonomy to shape financial processes, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's continued growth trajectory.

What You'll Do

  • Manage full-cycle accounting across corporate and subsidiary entities

  • Oversee month-end close and financial reporting processes

  • Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online (or similar platform)

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and internal accounts

  • Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections

  • Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and employee reimbursements

  • Assist with government filings and tax reporting (T4, GST/PST, corporate tax, etc.)

  • Provide budgeting support, variance analysis, and forecasting

  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors for year-end processes

  • Recommend and implement process improvements and automation tools

  • Document procedures and support operational efficiency initiatives

  • Assist with grant reporting and other special projects as needed

What You'll Need

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience (property accounting is a plus)

  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environment is an asset

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Trusted with sensitive financial and employee information

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable implementing new systems and processes
