Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to join our growing team. The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department with day-to-day administrative tasks, recruitment processes, employee onboarding, and records management. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate new employee orientations.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
  • Help organize employee engagement events and initiatives.
  • Assist with compliance and safety-related documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (transportation/logistics industry experience is an asset).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
