What you'll do:

A Sportsnet Grill Host/Hostess' goal is to provide a warm welcome to all of our guests who enter Sportsnet Grill. The saying goes that "first impressions last a lifetime." As the Host/Hostess, you are the first associate to greet every guest as they arrive at the restaurant. The principal functions of this role also include taking reservations through Opentable, seating guests, answering any questions about the restaurant/hotel/community and supporting for Food and Beverage team when needed. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Warmly welcome and greet all guests as first point of contact with the Sportsnet Grill
• Provide host service to all Sportsnet Grill guests according to Marriott standards.
• Being familiar with all food and beverage menus, specials and promotions in Sportsnet Grill, in order to assist the guest and promote the items.
• Provide service to our guests in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.
• Fill out a seating floor plan by checking server section rotation chart; assign side-work schedule on the floor plan; post floor plan at the host stand.
• Seat guests following a rotation of server sections, providing guests with meal menus.
• Take reservations for Sportsnet Grill, both in person and over the telephone
• Promote the use of all Hotel facilities and special promotions.
• Adhere to local liquor and health, safety and fire procedures and laws.
• Handle guest concerns, compliments and suggestions in a professional informed manner, using the LEARN process
• Assist servers in the operation of the outlet(s), including: setting up tables, bussing, side duties, polish silverware, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll offer us:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and fosters a culture of respect and positivity.

• A minimum of one year's related experience.
• Previous restaurant hosting experience preferred.
• Graduate from a community college/university hospitality program preferred.
• Smart Serve Certification required.
• Knowledge of Opentable and Micros preferred.
• Ability to work a variety of days (must include weekends) and shifts
