We are looking for a server assistants & hosts to join our team
The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, passionate about the hospitality and eager to learn about the industry. Previous experience in cafe or a restaurant is an asset but not required. Training will be provided, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start their career in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- You represent the first and last impression of the restaurant. The goal of an excellent host/hostess is to create a warm and welcoming environment for every guest
- Ability to recognize guests by name and remembering their preferences
- Stay informed of industry news and trends
- Ensuring that the information is delivered properly to appropriate Kitchen and Dining Room staff
- Making reservations for guests based on our table service procedures
- Responding to all guest needs and directing information to the correct channels when required
- Run food orders to the correct tables, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any immediate needs.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining & service areas.
- Participate in pre-service and post-service tasks, including setting up and cleaning tables.
- Communicate effectively with the manager and other staff members to ensure a smooth operation.
- Clean and organize dry storage area
- Polish glassware & cutlery
- Perform routine bathroom checks
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications for Success:
- Minimum 1+ years of related beverage, food, and service experience
- Additional education and training may be required
- Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
- Passion for creating unique guest experiences
- Ability to provide warm, humble, and knowledgeable service
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
- Experience in fine dining is preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Experience:
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- hospitality: 3 years (preferred)
