We are seeking an experienced Civil & earthworks Foreman / Excavator Operator to join our team in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in civil and earthworks for municipal and commercial projects. This is a leadership role that requires strong field experience, technical competence, and the ability to manage crews while operating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage field crews, assigning and coordinating daily tasks
  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment required for civil and earthworks projects
  • Complete daily logs, including crew hours, equipment usage, trucking, and production tracking
  • Coordinate with superintendents and project management to ensure labor, materials, and equipment are in place each day
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues
  • Foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil works
  • Proven experience in civil construction and earthworks (required)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crew-management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • In-depth knowledge of civil construction methods, equipment, and safety regulations
  • Proficient in operating a variety of excavation and earthmoving equipment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Strong attention to quality and workmanship

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

  • First Aid certification
  • Confined Space training
  • Fall Protection training

Additional Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including overtime and weekend work as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50.00-$65.00 per hour
