Youth Coordinator

SOLO (Supported Independent Living) Program

ANTICIPATED START DATE: December 1, 2025.

We are currently seeking a full time (37.5 hours/week) Coordinator in the SOLO (Supported Independent Living) program.

The role of the SOLO Coordinator is to provide youth-centered training and support and teach the life skills necessary for successful independent living. 

General Information about the SOLO Program:

The intent of the SOLO program is to provide the support necessary for youth to learn and practice the skills necessary to be successful members of our community.  The goals and tasks that youth are typically working to accomplish while in the program include: securing of safe and stable housing; maintaining a meaningful day program (i.e. work or school); mastering of the various living skills needed for living independently (i.e. money management, cooking, building healthy relationships, goal attainment, self-care), transitioning out of the Children's Services/TAP.

Requirements of a SOLO Coordinator are:

  • Keen desire to assist youth in accomplishing their goals and working with them to become successful, self-sufficient adults in our community.
  • Able to establish positive working relationships with youth.
  • Degree or Diploma in the Human Services field and a minimum of 2-years of experience working with youth and Children's Services/TAP.
  • Knowledge and experience in accessing community resources.
  • Able to work independently and in a team context.
  • Strong computer, writing and organizational skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as some evenings and weekends are a requirement of this position.
  • A driver's license, clean driving record (no distracted driving tickets), reliable vehicle with $2 million liability insurance and 3 years of claims free insurance history (This means you have been a named driver on an insurance policy for AT LEAST 3 years, and have NO "at fault" claims - We will request a 3 year claims experience letter from you in order to show this)
  • Clear and current Police Information Check (with vulnerable sector check) and a Child Intervention Record Check (IRC) (not older than 6 months). 

Salary, Holidays, Benefits (fulltime position): The annual salary range for this position is $52,035.00 to $57, Staff accrue 0.577 holidays per pay period (15 days per year), 10 sick days per year, and are eligible for health benefits after 3 months of full-time employment and dental benefits after one year.
