CLASS 1 FOOD SERVICE DELIVERY DRIVER

The Class 1 Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting product to our customer's locations safely and on time. Location of deliveries are primarily in Northern Manitoba, Northern Saskatchewan, and Ontario.

Must have good organizational skills, basic mathematical skills, excellent customer service, a professional attitude and appearance. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Class 1 license is required.

Job Duties:

  • Check Vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
  • Handle company equipment properly; follow written driver safety rules, and compliance with HOS.
  • Maintain vehicles cleanliness.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Check conditions of truck/trailer after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oils, fuel, or radiator fluid.
  • Performs emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Ability to complete assigned work in allotted time.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve service issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, and delivery paperwork.
  • Obtain customers signature on invoice as proof of delivery.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements:

  • We require 2 years of verifiable class 1 experience.
  • Proven experience driving in Northern Manitoba is preferred.
  • A clean commercial driver's abstract (with no more then 2 minors and no major convictions with in previous 3 years) and criminal record search.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and hand bomb products into customer stores.
  • Have a professional attitude and appearance.
  • High energy, motivated person with excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
