Job Summary

The Account Manager is the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, focused on building long-term relationships to drive sales growth and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, technical aptitude related to elevator systems, and exceptional project management skills to coordinate services, from routine maintenance to modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including building owners, property managers, and contractors.
  • Sales & Business Development:
    Identify opportunities for upsell and cross-selling, including new installations, modernizations, and repair jobs. Meet and exceed assigned sales goals and quotas.
  • Contract Management & Negotiation:
    Prepare service contract bids and proposals, negotiate contract terms, secure renewals, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Project Coordination:
    Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams (operations, engineering, field technicians) to ensure timely and effective service delivery and project execution.
  • Technical Consultation:
    Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products, services, local elevator codes, and safety issues to educate customers and provide expert solutions.
  • Problem Solving:
    Address customer needs and concerns quickly and effectively, proactively solving issues related to scheduling, service, or billing.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Track client account metrics, forecast sales, and record all customer activity in a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the elevator, mechanical, facilities management, or construction industries.
  • Experience with B2B sales and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Education:
    A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
  • Aptitude for understanding technical and mechanical concepts.

Work Environment

This role often involves a mix of office duties and field work, requiring travel within an assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry event
