Your role
Under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable Manager, the candidate will manage accounts receivable for a portfolio of retirement residences. The person will ensure accurate and timely billing, collection, and account maintenance. As the primary point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, they will guarantee data integrity, resolve account-related issues, and contribute to providing a positive client experience.
Here Is An Overview Of The Main Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records related to billing, payments, adjustments, and resident arrivals and departures.
- Process monthly fees, credits, and refunds in accordance with Chartwell policies.
- Regularly monitor the dashboard and take the necessary actions.
- Analyze and resolve account discrepancies, overpayments, and unpaid balances.
- Respond promptly and professionally to requests from corporate teams and residences.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to increase process accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide support and training to residence teams regarding accounts receivable procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Accounts Receivable Team Manager.
Ideal profile
Education
- Hold a college diploma in accounting (or any other combination of relevant education and experience)
Experience
- Have between 2 and 4 years of accounting experience in accounts receivable management or related financial functions.
Required Skills And Qualities
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
- Very good knowledge of Outlook and SharePoint.
- Yardi (asset)
- Bilingualism required (French and English), both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively structure work and tools.
- Solid priority management skills, enabling deadlines to be met in a dynamic environment.
- Highly adaptable and flexible in the face of change and new procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining a high level of rigor.
- Good negotiation skills and ease in interacting with various stakeholders.
- Proactive, demonstrating initiative and autonomy.
- Exceptional customer service, focused on courtesy, efficiency, and quick problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with clarity and professionalism.
