Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Mortgage Agent in entering applications into appropriate systems and verify accuracy of data
  • Review and verify files from Mortgage Agent
  • Assist agents with onboarding. Ensure agents receive assistance for the first quarter or as needed. Provide deal support to new agents as they're being onboarded.
  • Assist agents with SafeBridge processes and technology
  • Engage and build lender relationships
  • Manage and facilitating prompt turnaround times and ensuring accuracy, courtesy and knowledgeable services while dealing with underwriting issues.
  • Understand each lender and their products and risk thresholds

Job Requirements:

  • Post Secondary Education
  • Must hold Level 2 Mortgage Agent License
  • 5+ years of comprehensive experience and knowledge of mortgage underwriting experience from the underwriting.
  • Advanced knowledge of mortgage application process
  • Experience with a variety of lenders
  • Must have a strong understanding of Commercial and Private Lending
  • Desire to help develop and drive a team of experienced mortgage agents
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Training experience is an asset
  • Filogix/ Finastra experience an asset

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have strong customer service focus and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, auditing and math skills
  • Meticulously organized
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Capable of managing multiple deals/tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to support multiple Mortgage Agents
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Natural ability to be a team player and take charge when necessary
  • Experience with Mortgage Industry system and tool
