Forest of Flowers (1061 Wonderland Rd S) is currently seeking an experienced Floral Designer / Sales Associate to join our team. This is a part-time permanent position (minimum 30 hours per week, will be increased to 40 hours per week, with additional seasonal hours available).

Please Note: Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of floral design experience in a retail florist environment. Applications without this experience will not be considered. We are not sponsoring foreign applicants for this position in Canada.

Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience.

Position Requirements

  • Floral design experience: Minimum 2 years in a retail florist role (required)
  • Retail sales experience
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • POS/computer experience

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers quickly and professionally
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the POS system
  • Provide knowledgeable sales support and practice effective upselling to maximize sales (ATV)
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience every time

Floral Design Responsibilities

  • Keep the cooler stocked with fresh, creative, and high-quality arrangements
  • Stay current with design trends and create original, appealing designs that encourage repeat business
  • Care for flowers properly and share care instructions with customers
  • Follow company pricing strategy to ensure all designs are accurately priced

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 25–40 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours plus)
  • Repetitive hand use (e.g., floral design, register operation)
  • Exposure to pollen and floral materials
