POSITION SUMMARY
The Modern Workplace Practice Lead will be responsible for building, leading, and evolving Convergence's Modern Workplace practice. This includes defining the vision, strategy, and delivery frameworks for Microsoft 365-based solutions, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, Viva, and related AI and Copilot technologies. The successful candidate will be both a strategic visionary and a hands-on expert, capable of mentoring consultants, collaborating across departments, and driving adoption of modern workplace technologies for our clients and internal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Define and evolve the Modern Workplace strategy aligned with Convergence's broader service portfolio and growth objectives.
- Develop packaged offerings, frameworks, and go-to-market strategies that drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
- Lead internal enablement and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Professional Services, and Managed Services teams.
- Delivery Excellence
- Oversee solution architecture, design, and delivery quality for Modern Workplace engagements.
- Ensure best practices for governance, adoption, and lifecycle management of M365 workloads (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Viva).
- Drive standardization of implementation methodologies and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Evangelism & Enablement
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader for digital workplace transformation.
- Educate clients and internal teams on new Microsoft technologies, features, and licensing models (including Copilot and AI integration).
- Present at webinars, client sessions, and industry events as a Modern Workplace advocate.
- Team Leadership
- Build and lead a small team of Modern Workplace consultants and specialists.
- Mentor and support team members in skills development, certifications, and career growth.
- Partner with recruitment and leadership to scale the practice as client demand grows.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS I NEED TO HAVE?
- 7+ years of professional experience in Microsoft 365 solutions, digital workplace, or related IT consulting.
- Deep hands-on expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Viva Suite.
- Strong understanding of Power Platform architecture, governance, and automation design.
- Proven experience building and growing a technology practice or service line within a consulting or MSP environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — ability to engage executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, PL-200, MS-700, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience with AI and Copilot integration within Microsoft 365 considered an asset.
