Parts Advisor – RV Dealership

Field of RV Dreams | Airdrie, AB

Field of RV Dreams is seeking a full-time Parts Advisor to join our growing RV dealership team in Airdrie. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

This role plays a critical part in supporting service operations and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient parts ordering, inventory control, and customer service.

Job Summary

The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting retail and internal customers with identifying, purchasing, and sourcing RV parts and accessories. This position supports the Service Department by ensuring timely availability of parts for repairs while maintaining accurate records and strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist retail customers with RV parts purchases, including identifying correct parts based on unit specifications
  • Analyze customer requests and provide accurate parts information, pricing, and availability
  • Provide substitute or upgraded part options for obsolete or unavailable items
  • Process parts orders accurately using dealership computer systems and POS software
  • Verify pricing, enter orders, and track back orders while providing timely updates to customers
  • Manage inventory levels, track stock, and assist with order fulfillment
  • Maintain organized records of sales, returns, inventory, and invoices
  • Collaborate closely with service technicians, service advisors, and management to ensure parts availability for repairs
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers, dealers, service centers, and customers
  • Handle phone and email inquiries professionally regarding parts availability, pricing, and order status
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient parts department workspace
  • Support sales and service initiatives, including promotions or special campaigns as needed

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous dealership experience (RV, automotive, or equipment) is preferred
  • Background in RV service, automotive repair, or parts sales is an asset
  • Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, or CMMS systems is an advantage
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and general office software
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate a forklift (license not required)

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Service Supervisor and Service Manager.
